METRODOME ACQUIRES UK RIGHTS TO THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED "THE INNKEEPERS"
Santa Monica, CA (November 2, 2011) - Metrodome today announced that it has acquired all UK rights to MPI Media Group's THE INNKEEPERS, a film by Ti West starring Sara Paxton, Pat Healy and Kelly McGillis. The distribution deal, which encompasses theatrical, DVD and VOD rights, was negotiated at AFM by Nicola Goelzhaeuser, Head of International Sales of MPI Media Group, and Giles Edwards, Acquisitions Manager for Metrodome. A theatrical release in 2012 is anticipated for the film, to be followed by DVD and Video on Demand.
Film Synopsis:
After over one hundred years of service, The Yankee Pedlar Inn is shutting its doors for good. The last remaining employees - Claire (Paxton) and Luke (Healy) - are determined to uncover proof of what many believe to be one of New England's most haunted hotels. As the Inn's final days draw near, odd guests check in as the pair of minimum wage "ghost hunters" begin to experience strange and alarming events that may ultimately cause them to be mere footnotes in the hotel's long unexplained history.
Through its festival run, THE INNKEEPERS has garnered much critical acclaim making it one of the most highly anticipated genre releases of 2012. THE INNKEEPERS is an MPI/Dark Sky Films original production in partnership with Glass Eye Pix.
